Ayer, Roy E. of Hull formerly of Quincy , December 20, 2005. Roy E. Ayer 46 of Hull formerly of Quincy died on Tuesday Dec. 20, 2005 at the Shattuck Hospital in Boston after a long illness. He was the husband of Theresa (Copell) Ayer of Hull. Roy was born and raised in Quincy. He was a self-employed roofer for many years. He was also an experienced carpenter and talented musician. He enjoyed boating and loved to spend time at the beach. His family remembers how generous a man he was, … ” he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.” He is survived by 2 sons, Howard Ayer of New York and Kristopher Ayer of Quincy. He is the brother of Susan Bailey, Dorothy DeSimone, Frederick B. & James Ayer all of Quincy, Steven & Diana Ayer both of Brockton, Jacqueline Green of Weymouth and Robib Young of Carver. Grandfather of Emma Rose Ayer. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-7 pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy. Funeral and burial will be private.
