Rosemary P. Greene

Greene, Rosemary P. (Callahan) of South Chatham, formerly of Hingham, passed away October 8, 2017 with family by her side.

Rosemary’s family was the cornerstone of her life, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Rosemary loved Irish music, dancing, cooking, and fashion. She traveled the world with her husband Joe. Rosemary will be dearly missed and always remembered with much love.

Daughter to the late Jeremiah and Mary (Curran) Callahan. Raised by her loving Aunt Mary and Uncle Patrick Egan of South Boston. Beloved wife of 66 years to the late Joseph P. Greene. Cherished mother to Rosemarie Currier of Belmont, Paul Greene and his wife Margaret of Hingham, and Robert Greene and his wife Karen of Norfolk. Sister to the late Joseph, John, William Callahan and Rita Callahan West. Dear grandmother to Heather, Blair and Sydney, Sean and Jeffrey, Colin, David and Elisabeth. Great grandmother to the late Willa. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday, October 15th, from 2-6 in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Monday, October 16th, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rosemary may be made to A charity of your choice, .
