Rosemary P. Dougan

Rosemary P. (Pittman) Dougan, of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, passed away on February 17, 2025. She was 89. 

Beloved wife of the late Thomas A. Dougan with whom she spent 52 wonderful years. 

Loving mother of the late Elaine Deon and her surviving husband, John, of New York, Thomas P. Dougan of Maryland, Karen Mullen and her husband, Tim, of Weymouth, and Mark Dougan of Braintree. Sister of Eileen Son and her late husband, Robert, of Braintree, Marie Pittman of Provincetown, the late Philip Pittman and his surviving wife, Mary, of Braintree. Longtime friend and caretaker, Kim Stirrat of Braintree. Cherished Nana of Elizabeth, J.T., Claire, Tom, Liam and V (Brendan). Also survived by her 3 great grandchildren as well as many loving nieces and nephews. 

Born in South Boston to Thomas & Bridie Pittman, Rosemary developed a strong sense of family and faith. Her family was everything to her and she felt the most fulfilled when she was spending time with them. Deeply devoted to her Catholic faith she found her strength in attending weekly mass. She will be remembered as a kind, witty, funny and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all who knew her. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 2/24/2025 from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday 2/25/2025 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
