Rose Marie Murphy

Murphy, Rose Marie (Dumont) of Marshfield, formerly a long time resident of Braintree, passed away after a long illness on December 31, 2023. Rose Marie was born in Boston to the late Alfred and Rose Dumont. She grew up in Roxbury and attended Jamaica Plain High School. Rose Marie worked for many years as a Data Entry Specialist. She enjoyed shopping, knitting, socializing, always looking her best and spending time with her family. 

Beloved wife of 36 years to the late Bernard C. Murphy. Loving mother of Mark Murphy and Tom Tweedy of North Easton, Christopher Murphy and Stacy of North Easton, Patricia DiNisco and Stephen of Newton, Bernard Murphy of Manchester, NH, Michael Murphy of Marshfield and mother in law of Jeanne Murphy Gravina. Cherished Nana to 10 grandchildren; Matthew, Brendan, Robyn, Colin, Nicholas, Maria, Danielle, Shane, Kelsey and Brok and Great Nana to Brody. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Monday, January 8, 2024, prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Clare’s Church, Braintree at 10:30 AM.
