Niles, Rose M., 91 of Weymouth passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2013 surrounded by her large family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank. Mother of six children, 5 sons, Bob and his wife Patty of Weymouth, Richard and Claire of Pocasset, Frank and Vicki of South Weymouth, Paul and Annie of Eastham, Mike and DeDe of No. Carolina and her daughter Rosemary of Weymouth. Rose had 3 brothers and two sisters, all who are happy to have Rose join them in Heaven. Grandmother to 12 and great grandmother to one with another on deck.
Rose was a huge sports fan- Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots and South Shore Seadogs. She had a wonderful sense of humor and has even been on stage as a stand-up comedian. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for various companies and spent 15 years working at Project Turnabout Treatment Center in Hingham. She golfed, swam and loved to play cards. Her warm and caring manner won her friends wherever she went. A true one of a kind, Rose will be sorely missed!
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.) Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 2:45 PM.
