Megna, Rose M. of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, passed away December 16, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Albert A. Megna. Loving mother of Mary DeAngelis and her husband John of Weymouth, and the late Virginia Elcholm. Cherished grandmother of Teresa, Janine and her husband George, and John and his wife Kerri. Great grandmother of Kendall. Sister of Mary Cook of So. Boston, and pre-deceased by four brothers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Rose was fortunate to have known her late husband since they were children and married while he was in the military. Their loved spanned the years and Rose was heartbroken when he died this October 16, 2012. Her family was the focal point of her life and she took great pride in her children and grandchildren. Rose enjoyed cooking and took great pleasure in the appearance of her home. She worked for various manufacturers as an assembler with the last being Milham’s of Quincy, many years ago. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Boston, Yankee Division. Rose devoted her life to her loving husband and was the ever-protective mother of her two children. She will be missed for her quiet nature and loving demeanor. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Rose may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
