Rose Kabura Kariuki passed away at Sturdy Memorial Hospital after her battle with a long illness. She was 38 years old.
Rose was born on December 17th, 1984 in Nairobi Kenya. She was the third born to Monicah Nguru Kariuki of Weymouth and the late Joseph Kariuki Mukiri. She was a loving sister to Rebecca Wangui, George Mukiri, Margaret Ngima and Martha Wangare. She was a sister in-law to Kenneth Mwangi; Christopher Mwithi, and Ruth Mukiri.
She was the loving niece of John & Njeri Wakaro; Peter & Molly Mwangi, Samuel & Margaret Wainaina, Paul & Magdalene Thumbi, James & Jane Ngumi, Teresa Wanjiku Mukiri, Catherine Wangeci Mukiri, Charles & Mary Githenya, and Samuel Maina.
Rose was also a cherished niece to Jackson (late) & Martha Chemwor, Armstrong Leornard & Naomi Kabiru, Samson & Mary Mugacha, Jidraph & Helen Gathua, Henry & Susan Macharia (both late), Fredrick Ng’ang’a (the late) & Rev. Martha Nguru of Boston, Pastor James & Anne Gathura, Njenga (the late) & Mary Njenga, and Henry & Ruth Macharia.
She was a loving aunt to Ethan Kariuki, Braiden Kariuki, Owen Kabiru, William Kabiru, Michael Mwithi, and Ezekiel Mukiri.
The Late Rose Kabura inducted into Christian faith and grew up attending St. Phillip Anglican Church where she was baptized at early age and confirmed in 1998. Rose was an active member who participated in youth related activities. Rose accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord before she died. Rose attended Harambee Primary school in 1990 up until 1998 where she sat for and completed her KCPE. She later attended Tumutumu Girls for her secondary education in 1999 up to 2003 attaining her high school diploma. Rose enrolled in Cornerstone College after high school perusing a degree in Association of chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 2007. Her journey saw her Migrating to the US in 2009 where she would later attend Quincy College in 2011 and attain her (Licensed Practical Nurse) LPN Certification.
Rose worked for a couple accounting firms while in Kenya before she came to the US. Shortly after her arrival in the diaspora, she worked at the renowned Colonial Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Weymouth, MA, while pursuing her education to attain her LPN certification in
the medical field. She was able to pursue her career at Bavada & Hanh Home Health where she diligently worked and had a positive impact with everyone she came into contact with. Rose will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed by all who loved her.
The Late Rose was blessed with a healthy life. The good health was disrupted when she was taken ill and admitted to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. Family and friends visited her regularly to pray with her and cheer her on while she was undergoing treatment for at least the last two months. However, she died on August 29th, 2023 at 6:00PM EST surrounded by family and friends. She passed on at the age of 38 years.
Rest In Peace Rose, We loved you, And God loved you even more that HE has ushered you into your eternal home.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 4-7 PM and Monday 9-11 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 11AM-1PM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital) , Weymouth. Burial to follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
