Applegate, Rose (Butera) of Braintree, formerly of Quincy & Dorchester, April 26, 2004. Wife of the late Malcolm Applegate. Loving Mother of Robert G. Applegate and his wife Elizabeth of Milton. Sister of the late Sarah Provenzano, Marie LoVerne, Joseph Butera and the late Anne Zuffanti. Grandmother of Geoffrey and Melissa Applegate both of Milton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Friday at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in All Saints’ Church , 209 Ashmont Street, Dorchester at 11 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7- 9 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. Rose was the secretary at the All Saints’s Church in Dorchester during W.W.II , she also took care of the catering at the church and was an active participant in many of the church’s activities. Rose worked at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Boston for 10 years. Rose also worked as a social worker. One thing Rose was very proud of was that she hosted a dinner for the Vienna Boys Choir at St. Pauls Cathedral. Donations in memory of Mrs. Applegate may be made to All Saints Church, 209 Ashmont Street, Dorchester, MA 02124.
