Ronnie D. Gaines of Whitman, formerly of Weymouth, died November 2, 2021 at the age of 74.

Ronnie was born and raised in Decatur, MS and was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran who served in Vietnam. He worked for State Street Bank as a security systems operator for many years. Ronnie cherished every second with his grandchildren. For fun, he enjoyed yard work and landscaping.

He was the beloved husband of Suzanne M. Gaines. Loving father of Lisa Gaines of Whitman and the late Ronnie D. “Dougie” Gaines, Jr. Brother of Martha Meador of MS, Thomas Gaines of GA, and the late Markus Gaines. Proud “Pa” of Ryan D. Gaines and Lily Arsenault. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
