Ronald “Pudge” Urbati

Urbati, Ronald R. “Pudge” of Hingham died April 15, 2011. The beloved husband of Eleanor “Ellie” (MacMurray) Urbati. Loving father of Robin Reilly and her husband Neil of Hull and David Nardo and his companion Nancy Camerlengo of Hull. Brother of Chester Urbati of MS and Pamela Hart of Hingham & Florida. Devoted grandfather of Neil & Natalie Reilly of Hull. Pudge is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pudge worked as a lineman for the Hingham Light Company for 36 years retiring back in 1997. He was also employed at Halpin Construction in Hingham for several years. After his retirement, he began working at Black Rock Country Club. A proud Korean Navy veteran, he was a member of the American Legion Post as well as the Tin Can Sailors Club. An avid reader he also enjoyed golfing. Pudge was a big fan of the New England sports teams. He life’s focus was his family, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-7pm in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. Hingham. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 to process over to Hingham Cemetery for the graveside service at 11am.
