Davy, Ronald K. of Hull, passed away November 30, 2009. Son of the late William K. Davy and Doris MacDonald. Stepson of Elsie Davy of Albion, NY. Beloved husband of Pauline (Cloherty) Davy. Loving father of Lisa Fritz & her husband Jeff of Reston, VA, Chris Davy & his wife Cheryl of Huntersville, NC, Frank Adams & his wife Melissa of Norwood, Meredith Adams & her fiance Jim of Hull, and Caitlin Rand & her husband Chris of Weymouth. Devoted grandfather of Claudia, Emily, Aidan, Matthew, Cole, Andrew, Chase, Olivia, and two on the way. Brother of Gary Davy, Gail Pettit, both of Albion, NY, and Kathy Ames of Rochester, NY. Ron was a proud Marine and a retired commissioned officer of 30 years in the U.S. Navy. His career began with the George Washington University Health Plan, where he served as COO. Later, he worked as Executive Director for Blue Cross Blue Shield in Boston and as CEO at CHA Healthcare in Kentucky. Upon returning to Massachusetts, he worked for Kit Clark Senior Services in Dorchester and at Morgan Stanley as a compliance officer. He served as a Hull Selectman for one term, ran as the Republican nominee for State Treasurer, and ran for Plymouth County Commissioner. An active Hullonian, Ron belonged to the Lions Club, the VFW, was treasurer of the Blue Water Sailing Club, and started the Veteran’s Council of Hull. A renaissance man of sorts, Ron was a pilot, a sailor, a Scuba divemaster, a runner, a skier, and a red belt in Taekwondo. He also served on multiple boards. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Friday from 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Funeral in St. John’s Episcopal Church, 172 Main St., Hingham Saturday at 1 PM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery. Donations in memory of Ron may be made to Aplastic Anemia & MDS, International Foundation, Inc., 100 Park Ave., Suite 108, Rockville, MD 20850 or to the New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court St., Boston, MA 02108.
