Ronald J. Keefe, Sr.

Keefe, Ronald J. “Rinka” Sr. of East Bridgewater, passed away April 21, 2023. Ron was born in Boston to the late Joseph and Alice Keefe. He grew up in South Boston and attended South Boston High School. Ron was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran and also retired from The Massachusetts Department of Veteran Services. He enjoyed following Boston sports, studying military history, playing video poker and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. 

Beloved husband of 58 years to Cynthia L. Keefe of East Bridgewater. Loving father of Ronald J. Keefe, Jr. and his wife Terri of Norwell and Alison R. Keefe and her husband Steven Overy of Whitman. Cherished Papa of Kayla Dodd, Madison Dodd and partner Craig D’Allessandro, Sydney Keefe, Lindsay Keefe, Paige Dodd, Michaela Keefe and Great Papa to 3; Theo Dodd, Shaylynn D’Allessandro and Craig D’Allessandro III. Also survived by countless cherished nieces and nephews and beloved surviving in-laws. Predeceased by 11 siblings; Joseph “Sonny” Keefe, Francis “Brother” Keefe, Alice “Sister” Mullen, David Keefe, Walter “Paulie” Keefe, Robert Keefe, Irene “Renie” Comerford, Lenny Keefe, Freddy Keefe, Betty Belding and Jack Keefe. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne, Monday at 12:30 PM.
