Hidalgo, Ronald A. of Quincy after a brief illness, June 27, 2006. The beloved Husband of 50 years to Josephine (Pistone) Hidalgo . Loving Father of Diana Eysie and John J. Hidalgo both of Kingston, Ronald G. Hidalgo , Donna M. Mavromates and Jo-Anne H. Glennon all of Quincy. Brother of Julia DeGennaro of Naples FL and the late Anne Maffeo and Isabella Mangano. Devoted Grandfather of John J. Hidalgo, Michaela and Olivia Mavromates and Avery Glennon. Ronald is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Saturday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours Friday 3- 8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Ronald may be made to American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701 or the Jimmy Fund, 1309 Beacon Street Brookline, MA 02446-9918. United States Marine Corps Veteran. Ronald was in born and raised in South Boston. He graduated from Boston College High School class of 1951 and graduated from Boston College class of 1959. Ronald also attended Boston College in pursuit of his Masters Degree. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 to 1956. Ronald also served in the U.S.M.C reserves until 1962. He began working at Campbell & Hall Book company which was located in Kenmore Square until 1979. From 1979 until 1993 Ronald worked for Child World Distribution Center in Avon, after the closing of Child World in 1993 Ronald took a postion at TJX as operations manager in the Worcester office. He retired from TJX back in 2003. Mr. Hidalgo was an avid sports fan. He coached for St. Ann’s Hockey leagues . He was also a Weblos Leader with the Boy Scouts in Quincy. For many years Ronald was also the chairperson of the Bayfield Road – 4th of July Block Party celebration, which he was very proud of. He enjoyed traveling with his wife of 50 years,to places such as Hawaii,the mediterranian as well as the Caribbean. His family remembers him as a “charming man”, “a perfect gentleman. Anyone who ever met him didn’t just like him, they loved him! ” He was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather and a proud veteran.
