Martel, Romuald A. of Plymouth formerly of Hingham passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010 after a brief illness. Beloved husband of Nettie (Hutchins) of Plymouth. Loving father of Joseph “Leo” Martel of Englewood, FL, Madeline Woodworth of Plymouth, Elizabeth Brennan of Plymouth, Edward Martel of Plymouth, Antoinette Parsons of Bridgewater, Juanita Cook of Whitman, Henry Martel of Hanover and the late Albert J. Martel. Brother of the late Marcel, Eugene, Maurice Martel and Florence Blinn. Romuald was a devoted grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Romuald was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Martel was born in Quebec, Canada and raised in Vermont. He relocated to Hingham in 1953, and has resided in Plymouth since 1999. Romuald was a machinist for Air Draulic Engineering of Randolph for 35 years before retiring in 1991. Romuald enjoyed many hobbies including collecting trains, antiquing and coin collecting. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday, September 15, 2010 4- 8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Thursday, September 16, 2010 prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church at 10 AM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
