Roger Elliot Ormon

Roger Elliot Ormon of Quincy, MA, passed peacefully after a brief illness on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.  He was 78.

Roger was a graduate of Quincy Votech class of 1960, studied Radar electronics at Northeastern University, class of 1969 and served in the Naval Reserves. A self-taught sommelier, he worked in the wine industry for over 40 years. He shared his love for the finer things of life with his wife Debbie as they enjoyed travel, music, dancing, fine foods and wine. He leaves many friends from the Quincy Choral Society, supper clubs, his lifelong friends in Squantum and his Hough’s Neck neighbors of 32 years. He will be remembered for his affable nature, his love of family and enjoying life to the fullest.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 45 years Deborah (Hogan) Ormon, his parents, Ralph and Phyllis Ormon, and his brother, Jack Ormon.  He is survived by his brother Ralph Paul Ormon, Jr. and sister-in-law Holly, of Quincy, his dearest niece Kristina Ormon Beaudet of North Carolina, and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Pine Hill Cemetery in Quincy.

In lieu of flowers, friends should lift a glass of fine wine and toast to Roger for a life well lived.
