Hobbs, Rodney F. of Hingham, passed peacefully July 21, 2016.

Rod was born and raised in Middletown, NY.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and has lived in Hingham for the past 20 years.  Rod is survived by his wife of 60 years Helen (Slusser) Hobbs of Hingham; daughter Wendy and her husband John Pollets, son Matthew and his wife Tamera, and his beloved grandchildren, Brynn Pollets, Mara Pollets and Ian Hobbs.

He loved nothing more than building memories with family and friends.  Rod’s relationship with his immediate family, brother and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews was truly his most valued treasure. Rod was loved dearly by his family and friends, and all are respectfully invited to attend his burial service at MA National Cemetery, Bourne on August 3 at 11AM.
