Rocco V. DiFazio, of Weymouth, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, November 8, 2015.

Rocco was raised and educated in Leominster and lived in Weymouth for over 70 years. As a hardworking and driven man, Rocco excelled professionally. He served in the US Army during WWII and went on to a career in construction. After retiring from construction, Rocco began a 30 year career with the Weymouth Police Department, retiring as a Lieutenant and prosecutor. He studied law in his 50’s and became an accomplished attorney, retiring in 2009. In 1990 he proudly established DiFazio & DiFazio in Weymouth with his son. In addition to being an active parishioner and usher at Immaculate Conception Parish, he was a member of the Weymouth Elks, Weymouth Sons of Italy, Norfolk Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Weymouth Police Association, founder of the Norfolk County Prosecutor’s Association and past president of Rotary Club in Weymouth. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his four grandchildren. For many years, he played the role of band manager and little league coach for his son in Weymouth. He also enjoyed fishing and traveling. He will be dearly missed.

Beloved husband of the late Helen F. (Holmes) DiFazio. Devoted father of Carol A. DiFazio and Kenneth DiFazio and his wife Maureen, all of Weymouth. Cherished Papa of Lauren, Kristen, Katelyn and Rocco V. DiFazio, II. Loving brother of Theresa Ruchlewicz of FL and step-sister Antoinette Walt of CO. Predeceased by siblings, Josephine,
Janet, Loretta, Joanne, Joseph and Anthony. Beloved brother-in-law of Victoria Holmes of Roslindale. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 3-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10 AM.

Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
