Roberta E. Glynn

Glynn, Roberta E. of Waltham passed away January 6, 2024 after a long illness.

Roberta was an outstanding student of science. She graduated from Newman Preparatory School in Boston and achieved her Baccalaureate in chemistry from the University of MA Amherst. She then completed her Masters degree in chemistry at Boston College.

Roberta was employed for many decades in  Boston and Cambridge as a research and development chemist, primarily of pharmaceutical products.

Roberta’s interests were varied:

She engaged in outdoor activities in all seasons, enjoying kayaking, cross country skiing and hiking with friends. As a teenager she enjoyed horse back riding with her beloved horse Chiv. She loved animals and kept several pets.

Roberta was an avid reader of all genres and particularly enjoyed novels of Stephen King. She was also an enthusiastic movie buff and attended many musical concerts locally and nationally.

Her love of travel took her frequently to the Caribbean and West Indies.

Above all, Roberta was a loyal friend to many who shared her adventures, and were delighted by her wit, intelligence, and companionship.

Loving daughter of Joan Glynn of Hingham and the late Denis King of Limerick, Ireland. She leaves behind many cousins in Ireland and the US, and many beloved friends.
