Hurley, Roberta B. (Bonaccorso) of Quincy, died July 2, 2023.
Roberta adored her family, especially being “Nana” to her grandchildren. She was a proud 1965 graduate of the Boston City Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse at Quincy City Hospital and Carney Hospital for many years. She got her BA in 1982 and worked as a medical paralegal in several Boston law firms. Roberta was an avid reader, gardener, quilter, and loved walking and being outdoors. She was a welcoming, caring, compassionate and loving woman who always made you feel important. She was intuitive of those around her and gave great hugs. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Daughter of the late Fred and Joyes Bonaccorso. Beloved wife of 58 years to John Hurley, Jr. Loving mother of Christopher Hurley and his wife Christina of Arlington, Karen Walsh and her husband Tim of Quincy, and Daniel Hurley and his wife Kerry of Quincy. Cherished sister of the late Walter Wernig and Carolyn (Pat) Svensson and her late husband Karl. Devoted Nana of Emilie and Kate Hurley of Arlington, Timothy, Caroline, and Patrick Walsh of Quincy, and Mia, Sofia, and Luke Hurley of Quincy. Dear aunt of Janet MacNeil of Medfield and Jill Harrington of W. Roxbury.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Roberta may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
