Robert William Buckley

Buckley, Robert William, of Braintree, originally from Dorchester, died January 28, 2019.

Loving husband for 68 years to Pauline A. (Tilley) Buckley. Son of the late Lawrence and Marion F. (Newman) Buckley. Loving brother of Jean M. Buckley of Fortuna, CA and predeceased by 4 brothers; Lawrence, Leo, Neal and William and 3 sisters; Joy (Dolores) Porsley, Eleanor Buckley and Marilyn Hanf. Devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews. Especially devoted and appreciative of Noreen, Robert, Steven, and Christine (Kelly) Tilley. His loving, supportive, vicarious family. The loss of Bob’s love and dedication to family and friends alike will be felt by all who knew him. 

Robert was a retired manager from AT&T Long Lines and Verizon. He was a US Army veteran, avid golfer, Weymouth tennis club player, Telephone Pioneers member and member of the DAV chapter 29. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Monday 8:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral Mass will follow in St. Clare’s Church, Braintree at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to a charity of your choice.
