Stack, Robert W. of Franklin February 28, 2007. Devoted husband of the late Helen I. (Crowley) Stack. Beloved father of Edward M. Stack and his wife Jessica of Virginia Beach, VA, Robert M. of Whitinsville, MA and Michael J. Stack of Cavendish, VT. Loving brother of William M. Stack of Millis, MA. Dear nephew of Loretta Hagan of Quincy. Cherished grandfather of Kelly, Tina and Julie Stack of Framingham and Marissa and Natalie Stack of Sanford, ME. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Sunday from 2 – 6 PM at the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St, WOLLASTON. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Central NE Region, 18 Tremont Street, Suite 700, Boston, MA 02108. Robert lived in Franklin for over 30 years. He was born in and grew up in New Orleans. He joined the National Guard in 1940 and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Robert was a past member of the Knights of Columbus and a life time member of the DAV, Veterans of Battle of the Bulge WWII, Military Order of Ardennes and the VFW where he also was a past Jr. Vice Commander. Robert worked for the Mass Dept of Public Works for over 16 years, retiring in 1985. Prior to that he worked at the Wrentham State School for the mentally challenged where he was an Orderly/Attendant. Robert enjoyed model building of ships and planes and enjoyed automotive repair. He was involved with Scouts when his children were of that age.
