Robert “Salty” W. Salton

Salton, Robert “Salty” W. of Quincy, passed away July 6, 2011. Beloved husband of Janet Salton of Quincy. Loving father of Debra Quinn of Quincy, Patricia Travaglini and her husband Ron of Salem, NH, Robert J. Salton of N. Attleboro and Christine Argiros and her husband Michael of Westwood. Brother of the late Joseph, Michael and Alexander Zwaleski. Cherished grandfather of Katelynn and Alysandra Quinn of Quincy, Brandon and Amanda Travaglini of Salem, NH and Antonios and Markos Argiros of Westwood. Robert was born in Boston and raised in South Boston before settling in Quincy in 1968 where he raised his family. He was a graduate of Boston Latin High School and Bentley College. Robert worked for the First National Bank / Bank of Boston for 33 years as an Auditor before retiring. Robert was a lifetime member of the Furnace Brook Golf Club in Quincy and a former member of the McKeon Post in Dorchester. He enjoyed playing golf and tennis, trips to Castle Island and had a love for music. Most of all Robert loved his family and enjoyed getting together with family and friends whenever possible. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Robert may be made to Hospice of the South Shore, 100 Baystate Dr., Braintree, MA 02184
