Robert S. Thorne of Hull, died peacefully on June 8, 2016, surrounded by his family. The beloved husband of 44 years to Mary Lou (Morano) Thorne of Hull. Loving father of Stephanie Thorne-Connolly and her husband Bryan of Hull and Melissa Thorne also of Hull. Son of the late Budd K. and Gloria (Falletti) Thorne. Brother of Budd K. Thorne Jr., Gail Leander and Bruce Thorne. Proud Loving Papa of Brenden, Lucas and Gianna. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews cousins and cherished friends.
Robert was born in Weymouth and raised in Hingham. After graduating Hingham High School, he proudly served in the United States Army National Guard. During his later years, he worked at Weymouth Honda, where he earned multiple titles for number one sales associate and was one of 33 Honda Sales Consultants nationwide to be apart of the Honda Council of Sales Leadership Program. He truly loved and enjoyed all sports but golf and baseball were his fondest. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his strong work ethic and his devotion to his family. He was one of a kind and will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.
 
 
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Celebration of Life Tuesday at 11am St. Ann’s Church 208 Samoset Ave Hull. For those that would like to pay their respects, a viewing will be held prior to the Funeral Mass from 9:45-10:45am in St. Ann’s Church.
 
 
Burial will be private.
 
 
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Amercian Stroke Assocation, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.
