Robert (Bob) A. Rantuccio, of Hallendale Beach, Florida, died May 26, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Previously, from Quincy, Massachusetts, Robert was predeceased by his parents, Anthony J. Rantuccio and Lydia T. (Baino) Rantuccio also of Quincy and sister, Joanne C. Lloyd of Shartlesville, PA. 

After graduating from North Quincy High School in 1964, Bob spent his working career in banking and information technology. He spent 25 years working as a programmer at Bank of New England and also worked at State Street Bank, John Hancock, Washington Mutual and six years at Bank of America in Malden until he retired in 2011 at the age of 65. After retirement, Bob moved to Hallendale Beach, Florida in 2016 to continue his love of running road races and his love of gambling at the Gulfstream Park’s Casino and horse track. He also enjoyed various sports and listening to old radio shows.

Bob was an avid runner and started running road races in the Boston area in 1988. He ran the Boston marathon three times and also ran races in Las Vegas and Rhode Island. During his lifetime, Bob participated in over 800 road races. 

Bob is survived by niece, Dina L. Moon (Robert) of Naples, FL, and grandnephews Gavin and Colton, niece, Lisa Maxwell of Reading, PA, and nephew, Jason Lloyd of Hamburg, Pa. He is also survived by many other family members. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday, August 10th from 9-10 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Route 18 opposite South Shore Hospital). 

Graveside services will conclude at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Boston. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation at https://www.npcf.us/donate/.
