Robert R. “Sully” Sullivan, a lifelong resident of Braintree, died peacefully at home on January 16, 2019 at the age of 81.

Bob was a lifelong resident of Braintree and a 1955 graduate of Braintree High School. He worked as an iron worker with Local 7 and served in the National Guard. He had a passion for sports and was an avid softball player his entire life. He and his wife enjoyed 16 years of wintering in Citrus Park, Bonita Springs, FL. Bob enjoyed Bingo, scratch tickets and the occasional trip to the casino. Most of all, Bob devoted his life to his family.

He was the beloved husband of over 60 years to Eileen L. (Day) Sullivan. Loving father of Richard Sullivan of Lyndeborough, NH. Proud grandfather of Jessica LaRue and Kurt Sullivan. Brother of Jean Cole and husband Bradley of Holbrook, the late Barbara Campbell, and the late John Sullivan. Uncle of Brian Shepherd, Pamela Abbott and husband Joseph and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 9:30-11:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) followed by a service at 11:30 AM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob may be made to Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Dr., Rockland, MA 02370.
