Robert R. Sacchetti

Mr. Robert R. Sacchetti, aged 65, passed away peacefully on February 20th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved son of the late Rio and Lucy (Capodilupo) Sacchetti, Bob was born April 18th, 1958 and was raised and lived in Braintree MA.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years Mrs. Rene (Symonds) Sacchetti of Braintree MA and children Dr. & Mrs. Daniel and Monica Sacchetti of Barrington RI, Mr. & Mrs. Rio and Miranda Sacchetti of South Boston MA, and grandchildren Sofia and Rose Renee Sacchetti to whom he will always be affectionately known as “Bubba.” Brother of the late James Sacchetti and his surviving wife, Julie, of Framingham, Richard Sacchetti and his wife, Karen, of Naples, FL, Joseph Sachetti of Costa Rica, and R. Michael Sachetti of Falmouth. Son in law of Constance Oberlander and the late Henry of Florida. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends, including his favorite dogs Rudy and Barry.

Bob co-founded Helping Hands of America in Wrentham MA and raised millions for local charities including The Congregation of Sacred Hearts-U.S. Province, Coastline Elderly Meals On Wheels, Association of Blind Citizens and the Lupus Foundation.  His passions included spending time with his family, creating unforgettable meals from his garden, hiking with his dogs, spending time on Cape Cod boating, laughing with and entertaining loved ones; he was an extraordinarily generous man to so many and also made a great martini.  Bob was larger than life and the void he leaves behind could never be filled.  To know him was to love him – his gregarious and warm nature lit up many rooms and touched many lives.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday, February 27th from 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So.
