Robert R. Rhodes

Rhodes, Robert R. of Hingham, age 85, August 29, 2007. Beloved husband of Janet Rhodes of Hingham. Devoted father of Robert R. Rhodes Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Hingham and Todd J. Rhodes and his wife Linda of Sudbury. Brother of William Rhodes and his wife Alma of MD. Brother-in-law of Jeanne Rhodes-Riddle of CT. Grandfather of Jennifer, Susan and Robin Rhodes all of Sudbury, Noelle and Caroline Rhodes of Hingham. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial calling hours at the family home, 100 Martins Lane in Hingham, Wednesday September 5, 2007 from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Interment will be private. Donations in memory of Mr. Rhodes may be made to Wegener’s Granulomatosis Assoc., P.O. Box 28660, Kansas City, Missouri, 64188-8660. Mr. Rhodes was born in Youngstown, OH. He was a graduate of Ohio State University. He was a pilot in the 5th Air Force in the Southwest Pacific Theater, commanding a crew in the transportation of troops and supplies into enemy territory and completing 18 combat missions. He was the recipient of an Air Medal and the Philippines Liberation Medal. Robert was a Sales Manager in the glass industry for 36 years and a salesman in the electronics industry for 14 years. He was a member of the Cohasset Golf Club for many years. Robert loved to work and was a serious businessman.
