Bob graduated from North Quincy High School and attended Wentworth Institute and Franklin College in Boston. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Bob went to work at the family business B.E. Peterson Inc. Custom Metal Fabricators of Avon, which had been located in Boston, then in Hingham and is now currently located in Avon. There he continued the family traditions as a Welder and Owner of the company. Bob was still very much involved with the business. A little over 2 years ago, he along with his wife Ruby moved from Cohasset to the newly constructed Linden Ponds in Hingham. In his younger years, he was a member of the Braintree Rifle Club and was a rifle marksman. Bob was a great cook, boater, and avid scuba driver. Bob was truly the “handy man” of all handy men. He was a true problem solver.
