Robert P. Jordan Sr.

Jordan, Robert P., Sr. “Bucky” of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, died May 21, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was a star quarterback at South Boston High School and had a lifelong love of football. He proudly served with the United States Navy during World War II on the USS Varuna and worked at Boston Edison as a troubleman for many years. He also helped found the Willis Penny Post in Dorchester. What he was most passionate about, however, was his family. Spending time with his family, whether at the cottage in Maine, celebrating special occasions or just singing to his grandchildren, was the delight of his life.

Beloved husband of Mary (Gallagher) Jordan of Quincy, loving father of Patricia Graeber and her husband Jeffrey of Quincy, Robert Jordan Jr. and his wife Lucy of Quincy, Mary Ellen Jordan of Quincy, Ann Marie Wilson and her husband Eddie of Safety Harbor, FL, Mark Jordan of Quincy, Kevin Jordan and his wife Ann of Quincy, and David Jordan of Quincy. Brother of the late John Jordan, Mary Walsh, Helen Jordan, Winifred Connors, James Jordan, and Joseph Jordan. Cherished uncle to James Connors. Devoted Grandpa to 14 grandchildren and Beepa to three great-grandchildren.
