Robert Mazzola

Robert (Bob) Mazzola, 83, of Hingham, MA passed away peacefully on March 3, 2022. Bob was born to Lareto and Augusta Mazzola on October 17,1938. Growing up and spending most of his life in Westwood, MA . Bob was a generous, selfless and caring man who always put others before himself. He loved spending time with his family on the Cape and trips to Florida. One of his favorite things to do was traveling with his wife Leslie, including many special trips to Europe, most especially their trips to Italy. Bob loved cooking and dining on Italian food while enjoying a glass of red wine.

Bob was an avid animal lover and he loved none more than his dog, Jessie. Jessie went to work with him every day for 15 years.

All that knew Bob, respected his passion for his work. He was the proud co-owner of Apparel 2000, a custom embroidery business in Rockland, MA. Prior to that he was the owner of Roman Art Embroidery / Roman Pro Corporation, which was originally established by his parents. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran having the honor of guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and Blair House while President Kennedy was in office.

Bob is survived by his wife Leslie Sternburg of Hingham, daughter Lara Scott and her husband Greg of Pembroke ,stepfather to David Sternburg and partner Kim Emerling of Marshfield and Peter Sternburg and his wife Jarren of Austin, Texas. Loving grandfather to Brody and Jonathan Scott, Henry and Harper Sternburg and William and Ellis Sternburg.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday,  March 9th at 11 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home ,21 Emerald Street Hingham, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert Mazzola may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
