Robert M. Ford

Ford, Robert M. of Hingham, formerly of Quincy, died June 2, 2015.

Family was most important to Bob and he treasured the time with his wife, children and grandchildren.  He was a Quincy Youth Hockey coach for his sons and continued to play later in the senior league.  Bob loved his work and was proud to have become a Master Plumber.  He worked for over 43 years at his own companies called Ford Plumbing and Neponset Plumbing.  While working he began his hobby of purchasing real estate properties which grew into a full time business with units in Quincy, Brookline, Dorchester and FL.  He was a United States Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam era.  He enjoyed fishing, boating, nature, and animals.  An unassuming man, Bob will be remembered for his sense of humor, work ethic, helping his friends, and always with a scally cap atop his head. 

Beloved husband of Patricia J. (Griffin) Ford of Hingham.  Loving father of Robert M. Ford of Quincy, Jeneane R. Ford Sarrica and her husband Mario of Wrentham, and Stephen D. Ford and his fiancée Kristin Pagnani of Braintree.  Cherished son of Dorothy (Smith) Ford of Plainville and the late Terence Ford.  Brother of Thomas Ford of Cohasset, John Ford of Mansfield, and Janet Ford of RI.  Beloved grandfather of Danielle, Sydney, Dean, Lucas, and Marc.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.  A funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Cremation will follow.
