Robert M. “Bob” Notrem

Robert M. “Bob” Notrem of Weymouth, died May 25, 2013, on his 73rd birthday. Bob grew up in South Boston and has lived in Weymouth for over 30 years. He proudly served in the United States National Guard. Bob worked as a maintenance mechanic for Carney Hospital for 32 years and later at Pope Nursing Home for 5 years. He has been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for the last 2 years. Bob also enjoyed collecting stamps, building airplane models and shopping. He will be sadly missed.

 Beloved husband of 49 years to Ethel G. (Ivens) Notrem of Weymouth. Devoted father of Robert M. Notrem, Jr. and his wife Maria of FL and Michael J. Notrem and his companion Joely Courtney of Weymouth. Cherished “Grandpa” of Ashleigh, Christian, Victoria and Glenn. Loving brother of Judy Farquharson of Weymouth and Chuckie Chesna and his wife Maryann of Weymouth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 7:45 AM Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mark’s Church, Dorchester, at 9 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
