Robert H. LaFavre

Robert H. LaFavre of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, passed away surrounded by his loving family on November 13, 2024. He was 86.

Bob taught auto body repair at Quincy Vo-Tech High School for many years, retiring in 1995.

Bob loved family gatherings and especially enjoyed hosting birthday and holiday celebrations, usually ending with a family cribbage tournament.

Bob was very active and loved being outdoors and working in the yard. Friends and family would be hard pressed to find a single leaf in his yard during Fall. He loved to work on cars and for many years would buy and repair cars for his kids to drive. He was a jack-of-all-trades and could tackle any job inside or outside the house.

He was an avid golfer, loved dancing and Friday night whist games with friends. He had a wide circle of friends that he frequently met with for dinner and daily coffee. 

He will be deeply missed by his family and his buddy Harry, the cat.

Beloved husband of Gale S. (Odendahl) LaFavre of Weymouth. 

Loving father of Lauren Richmond and her husband Craig of Pembroke, Jeanne Fitzpatrick and her husband Richard of Cohasset, Deborah LaFavre and her partner, Joseph Forte of Foxborough, Robert LaFavre, of Braintree, Dianne LaFavre of Somerville, the late Elizabeth LaFavre, David Gross and his wife, Sonja Ferdows, Superior, CO, Barry Gross and his wife, Erin Kao, of Naperville, Illinois, Linda Kelloway and her husband, Daniel of Marshfield, James Gross and his wife, Toni Ruscio, of Weymouth.

Grandfather of Brian, Jeffrey, Meghan, Matthew, Lindsey, and Jenna.

Great Grandfather of Zaven.

Brother of the late Joseph, William, James, and Walter LaFavre.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday November 22nd, from 9:30 -11 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). 

Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM in the Funeral Home. 

Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth..
