Robert L. Keaney

Mr. Robert L. Keaney of Weymouth, died November 11, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was an electrical engineer for many years for the Charles T. Main Co. He always enjoyed swimming with special needs children and clowning with the Hearts and Noses Hospital Clown Troupe. An avid reader, he also enjoyed oil painting, american sign language, and was a member of the South Shore Hospital Ameauteur Radio Club. Bob also served in the United States Navy.

Beloved husband of Patricia G. “Gail” Keaney. Loving father of  Stephen S. Keaney and his wife, Diana, of Groton, Lauren J. Keaney of Randolph, Patricia A. Keaney Garcia and her husband, Manuel, of Bridgewater, and Michael P. Keaney and his spouse, William Spencer, of Colorado. Brother of  Catherine ‘Kay” Keaney of Quincy, and the late Mary E. Cahill, John J. Keaney, Jr, Anna M. Keaney, and Theresa Flanigan. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-6pm in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, 10 Chandler Street, Boston, MA 02116 or to the charity of one’s choice.
