O’Keefe, Robert J. in Spring Hill, Florida formerly of Quincy, died on Monday, September 27, 2010. Husband of the late Alice E. (Walsh) O’Keefe. Loving father of Robert T. O’Keefe and Alice E. O’Keefe both of Quincy. Brother of Patricia Strobis of Rockland, Kenneth O’Keefe and his wife Margie of FL, Dennis O’Keefe of South Boston and the late Jeremiah and Charles A. O’Keefe, Jr. Son of the late Jeremiah & Katherine (Berlo) O’Keefe. Brother in Law of Mary Jeane Dean of Braintree, Lillian O’Keefe of Milton and Marie O’Keefe of South Boston. Bob is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Boston, Bob spent many years in South Boston before moving to Quincy. He worked as a sandblaster for Precision Coating in Dedham for many years. A member of the North Quincy Knights of Columbus, he was also active in Boy Scouts – Troop 51 for several years. He volunteered for the special needs soccer and basketball teams in Quincy. Bob enjoyed bowling and bingo, he spent many years volunteering at Sacred Heart Parish Bingo. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Sunday 2-6pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint John’s Church at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob may be made to Hernando Pasco Hospice Center, 12242 Cortez Blvd. Brooksville, FL 34613.
