Robert J. Maccune

MacCune, Robert J. of Hingham, originally from Dorchester, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on February 22, 2011. He was 80. Bob served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and worked as a printer for McDonald and Evans in Braintree. He enjoyed golf and was a former member of the Furnace Brook Golf Club in Quincy. The most important part of Bob’s life was his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an extremely proud “Papa”. Beloved husband of Janice (Dunlap) MacCune and his late wife Jean MacCune. Loving father of Robert J. MacCune, Jr. of Plymouth, Michael MacCune of Hingham, Jeffrey MacCune of Braintree, Gregory MacCune of Hingham, John MacCune of Scituate, and Judith MacCune of Scituate. Loving stepfather of Thomas Darcy of NH, Paula Moorhead of Pembroke, and Susan Monahan of East Bridgewater. Brother of Margaret Bornemann of Milton. Also survived by 21 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in Hingham Centre Cemetery.
