Robert J. Driscoll

Robert J. Driscoll of Stuart, FL and Portsmouth, RI, and formerly of Hingham, died on October 27, 2021, surrounded by his family. The beloved husband of Lori Driscoll of Stuart, FL. Cherished father of Christie Blier and her husband Chris of Boston, and devoted grandfather of their daughters Emmie and Whitney. Beloved son of Jeanne (Leary) Driscoll of Hingham and the late Robert J. Driscoll. Brother of Ed Driscoll of Sandwich and his late wife Sheila, Jeanne Johnson of Hanover, Marion Devaney and her husband Rick of North Attleboro, and Carrol Kelly and her husband Rick of Marshfield. Bob is also survived by many nieces and nephews, whom he adored.

Bob grew up in Hingham and graduated from Hingham High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University and raised his family in Hingham. Bob had a long and successful career as the CEO of a software company. He had a passion for sailing, and he enjoyed golfing and traveling the world with his family. He had a fierce interest in history and a lifelong commitment to learning. For Bob, nothing was more important than his family, especially his wife of 42 years Lori, his only daughter Christie, and his beloved and cherished granddaughter Emmie.

A Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, at Old Ship Church in Hingham and will be followed by a burial in Hingham Cemetery.  We are requesting that all attendees be vaccinated or recently tested.   In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider a donation in Bob’s honor to the following:
