McKinnon, Robert J. “Bob” of Quincy, died May 18, 2009. Beloved husband of 51 years of Kathleen (Doherty) McKinnon of Quincy. Devoted father of Mary K. McKinnon of Quincy, Kevin G. McKinnon and his wife Lynne of Quincy, Terrence G. McKinnon and his wife Melissa of Marshfield and the late Gregory McKinnon. Loving brother of Priscilla Shea of Humarock, William McKinnon of FL and the late Dolores McKinnon. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Katherine, Gregory E., Elizabeth, Tyler, Rebecca, Kyle and Ryan McKinnon. Bob was a lifelong resident of Quincy. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an electrician for the Local #103 for 55 years. Bob was incredibly involved in the community as an usher at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish, a Scout Leader for Pack 36 and Troop 35, a member of the Quincy Yacht Club and a past member of the North Quincy Knights of Columbus. He was also the past recipient of the Good Neighbor award. Mr. McKinnon loved sports. He was the past president of the Houghs Neck Hockey League, a founding member of the St. Moritz Youth Hockey League and was active in many other Quincy youth sports as both a coach and umpire. In addition to his community involvement he also enjoyed boating, fishing and building model trains. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Friday at 8:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church at 9AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4- 8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to the Houghs Neck Community Council Scholarship Fund, 1116 Sea St., Quincy, MA 02169
