Robert J. “Bob” Maher

Mr. Robert J. “Bob” Maher, of Quincy, passed away on April 25, 2022. He was 86.

Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Collins) Maher.

Loving father of Sharon Segiet and her husband, Ziggy, of Brockton, Judy Kelley and her husband, Jim, of NC, Suzanne Maher of Brockton, and the late Roberta Maher. Brother of the late Elizabeth Coyne and John Maher. Also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Laura, Jaclyn, Jennifer, Michelle, and Jillian, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Once discharged, he met the love of his life Betty Collins and they married 3 months later. He shared that love with her for over 62 years.

Bob retired from the MBTA, which he loved so much

Bob had a love for his family, singing, music,growing up in South Boston,and dressing up as Elvis on special occasions.

(and let’s not forget what a great whisteler he was!)

He has now joined my mother and so many others that have passed. We’ll miss you dad…

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during visiting hours on Saturday, April 30th, from 9-12 PM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital), followed by his Funeral service at 12 noon

Burial will follow  in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
