Robert J. “Bob” Ciriello

Ciriello, Robert J., Sr. “Bob” of Hanover, died December 8, 2016.  

Bob graduated from Belmont High School and later received his undergraduate from Boston State University and his Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Anna Maria College.  He worked for the Quincy Police Department for over 32 years and retired as detective in 2003 after receiving Police Officer of the Year award.  Bob was a Veteran of the United States Army, a proud member of the American Legion and most recently on the committee for the Hanover Veteran’s Memorial Garden.  Bob enjoyed Sunday Funday’s by the pool, coaching Hanover Little League Baseball, watching sports, especially the Red Sox and Patriots and his trips to Bridgton, ME and Loon Mountain, NH.  His main passion in life was spending time with his family and friends not excluding his cherished dogs.  Bob will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Survived by his beloved wife Julie (Bartholomew), son Robert J. Ciriello Jr. and his fiancé Sayre McAuliffe of Quincy, his daughter Cara Elizabeth and her husband Jonathan Briley of South Boston, his daughters Robin Ciriello and Stacie Adams both of Mobile, AL, his brother Harold and his wife Billie of Salem, NH. Devoted uncle to the McVinney, Morrison, & Melone families and dear friends Nancy and Bob Inglis.  Son of the late Harold Ciriello and Aida Nazzaro Ciriello and brother of the late Edmund Ciriello.  Also survived by his extended Ciriello family and many loving friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
