Robert J. Alfano, 72 of Quincy, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2015  at the John Adams Health Care Center surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of Edna (Blacquiere) Alfano for 49 years, the son of the late Helen and Michael F. Alfano.  He was a graduate of North Quincy High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  Retired from the United States Post Office after 32 years of service.  He helped many employees as a counselor in the Postal Program for Alcoholic Recovery and was a longtime friend of Bill W.

        He was the loving father of Kim M. Alfano of Quincy, Michael F. Alfano  and wife Michelle of Pembroke and Robert J. Alfano Jr,. of Weymouth.  Dear grandfather of Sarah, Sydney, and Ashlee.  His best quality was his sense of humor with his jokes to the very end.  He loved to make people laugh and enjoyed his many trips to Prince Edward Island. 

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8pm in the Keohane Funeral Home  785 Hancock Street, Wollaston, followed by a funeral service on Friday evening at 8pm. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert may be made to Father Bill’s Place, 38 Broad Street, Quincy, MA 02169 or to Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA.
