Robert J. Alabiso

Robert J. Alabiso, of Plymouth, formerly of Weymouth, died March 27, 2016. He devoted his life to the happiness and well-being of his family, friends and co-workers. 

Bob brought creativity and collegiality to a career that spanned 25 years at the Patriot Ledger in Quincy, MA, and 13 years at the Boston Globe. His creativity extended to many hobbies and interests, including photography, graphic design and so much more. He was the consummate crafter and handy-man and always sought out new challenges. 

His family was the foundation of all that was important to him. Bob was the dearly loved husband of Wendy (Klasson) Alabiso of Plymouth. The couple recently celebrated their 40^th anniversary. Devoted father of Karissa Alabiso-Scott and her husband Michael of Pembroke and Kelsey Alabiso and her husband Greg Engert of Washington DC. Bob excitedly anticipated the imminent birth of his first grandchild Evelyn Scott. Cherished son of Jeanette Alabiso of Kingston and the late Angelo Alabiso, formerly of Hingham. Loving brother of Vincent Alabiso and his wife Pam of Plymouth, Nancy McLean of Kingston and Jak Alabiso and his wife Jan of Plymouth. Brother-in-law of Karl Klasson and his wife Judy of Belmont, Ingrid Yngve and her husband Pete of Weymouth and Holly Cicerone and her husband Tom of Weymouth. Dear nephew of Mildred Pecci and her husband Art of Waltham, Rose Hess of NH and Jeanette Alabiso of Winthrop. Adored uncle to many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday 12-3:30 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

A brief memorial will be held in the funeral home at 3:30 PM.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Bob may be made to Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle #326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
