Robert H. Bouton

Bouton, Robert H. of N. Quincy, died on Thursday, January 7, 2010, after a long period of declining health. Beloved son of Claire E. (Theall) Bouton of Quincy, and the late Elden W. Bouton. Loving brother of Paul E. Bouton of Sharon, Fr. Thomas F. Bouton of Holy Family and St. Ambrose Parishes, in Dorchester and Jean M. Bouton of Quincy. Brother-in-law of Gail Bouton of Sharon. Uncle of Martha and Emily Bouton of Sharon. As a child Robert joined the Boy Scouts and became the first Eagle Scout with Down Syndrome in New England. He graduated from North Quincy High School in 1981. Robert worked at Employ+Ability, Inc. of Braintree, for twenty-two years. An avid bowler, he belonged to the St. Ann’s Bowling League for many years. He was an usher at Sacred Heart Church in N. Quincy and assisted the choir group at St. John’s Church in Quincy. Robert was an inspiration to those who knew him. He always helped others and had a loving and kind heart. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY on Tuesday at 10:45 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 11:30 AM. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, W. Quincy. Donations in memory of Robert may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock St., N.
