Robert G. Weeks

Weeks, Robert G. “Bob” of North Weymouth, died peacefully in his sleep, July 15, 2017, of a sudden illness at South Shore Hospital.

He served his country in the USMC and was awarded the Firearms First Class Target Medal. Bob was a lifetime postal service worker. He had various hobbies and especially loved history. He will be remembered for his good humor, gentle nature and will be sadly missed by friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Janet (Gilmore) Weeks of Weymouth and his brother-in-law Roger Gilmore of GA. Loving brother of Bruce Weeks of NH, Norman Weeks of Yarmouth, Roy Weeks of Rockland, Sharon Chetwynd of Holbrook, Iona Picciuto of Weymouth and the late Laurel Swanson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 9:30-11:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 11:30 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:45 PM.
