Robert G. Dattman

Dattman, Robert G., 86, a custom home builder of Hingham, passed away suddenly February 26, 2010. Beloved husband of 58 years to Gloria (Niedner)Dattman. Loving father of Cindy & her husband Dr. Jay Roberts, Peter Dattman and Gary Dattman. Brother of the late Ralph and Roy Dattman. Grandfather of Jason Roberts, Ethan Roberts & his wife Courtney, and Emily Roberts. After graduating from Milton High School in 1941, Bob served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Later, he attended Wentworth Institute and Boston Architectural Center. Along with his brother, Bob created Dattman Brothers. They designed and built many fine custom homes on the South Shore. An avid and talented golfer, Bob was a member of South Shore Country Club, Plymouth Country Club, and Halifax Country Club. In his retirement, he enjoyed gardening. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Memorial Service on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 1:30 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.
