Funeral Mass in Saint Thomas More Church, Braintree at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 7-9 PM and Friday 4-8 PM. Burial in Braintree Cemetery, Braintree. BRAINTREE – Robert “Bobby” G. Marks Jr., 26, of Braintree, died unexpectedly in his sleep on Sunday. Bobby is survived by his father, Robert Marks Sr.; mother, Donna (Adams); two sisters, Kellie and Valerie Marks; a brother, Brendan Marks; fiancé, Karen Annese of Dedham; grandmother, Claire Adams of Braintree; and grandfather, Frederick Marks of Hull. A true Boston sports fan, Bobby was a Boston Celtics season ticket-holder and attended as many Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots games as possible, including Patriots away trips to Arizona and Buffalo. Bobby, whose motto was “you only live once,” enjoyed spending time with his family and fiancé, playing league softball with his friends and making people laugh. “He could make anyone smile, no matter the circumstance,” remarked friend Adam Culkin of Braintree. “Everyone wanted to be where Bobby was.” Bobby was a 1998 graduate of Braintree High School who worked as a carpenter for G&R Construction for more than four years. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Church on the corner of Hawthorne Rd. and Elm Street in Braintree. Burial will be in Braintree Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Bobby may be made to the Robert G. Marks Jr. Scholarship Fund c/o Eastern Bank.
