Robert F. Vardaro

Vardaro, Robert F. of Marshfield, formerly of Hingham, and South Boston, died September 2, 2013.

Beloved husband of Barbara Cahill Vardaro of Marshfield, and the late Mary (Dagle) Vardaro.

Loving father of Denise M. Gallagher and her husband, Michael, of Hull, Mary K. Madden and her husband, Russell, of Hanson, Robert F. Vardaro, Jr and his wife, Karenann, and Joseph M. Vardaro all of Hingham. Brother of Francis F. Vardaro and John T. Brown both of South Boston. Step-father of Mary Catherine Cahill of Arlington, VA, Thomas Cahill and his wife, Michele, of Petersham, Timothy Cahill and his wife, Christine, of Waterloo, NY, Elizabeth Ann Cahill, and Terrence Cahill and his wife, Kelly, all of Wilmington, DE. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and  many nieces and nephews.

Bob worked for over 40 years as a truck driver for Marr Scaffolding in South Boston as well as a vendor at Boston Garden. He was a member of the Endicott Golf League, enjoyed bowling at South Shore Country Club and was also a member of Town and Country Group in Kingston. Bob enjoyed playing golf, dancing, and travelling. Bob was a Korean War veteran serving with the United States Army.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Christine’s Church, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield, at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Vincent Church, 363 E Street, South Boston, MA 02127 or to the charity of one’s choice.
