Robert F. Tormey

Robert F. Tormey of Weymouth, passed away November 5, 2017.

Robert grew up in Weymouth and attended Sacred Heart High School. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and the recipient of the Victory Medal, the American Theatre Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Theater Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal. Robert was the owner of Weymouth Appliance for 40 years.

Devoted husband of 60 years to the late Dorothy A. (Danielson) Tormey. Beloved father of Robert F. Tormey and his wife Kathleen of Medfield, Kevin D. Tormey and his wife Elaine of Weymouth and Philip E. Tormey and his wife Debra of Pembroke. Cherished Papa to Grace, Laura, Claire, Brendan, Eve, Kevin, Matthew and Sarah. Brother of the late Louise Spillane, William E. Tormey II and Patricia Mulready. Also the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10:30 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 11:30 AM. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
