Robert F. Emens

Robert F. “Bob” Emens, of Hingham, died April 6, 2013.

Bob grew up in Wollaston and Braintree and was a member of the first graduating class of Archbishop Williams High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Notre Dame and then proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp. For the last 52 years he has been self employed in Commercial Real Estate. Bob was active in the community through various organizations. He was a Senior Life Member of the Ancient & Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts, the Scituate Harbor Yacht Club and an active parishioner of Church of the Resurrection. He was the past president of the Boston Kiwanis Club and the Ten of Us Club also a member of the Notre Dame Club of Boston, and a founding member of the Ocean Edge Golf Club. He was also a world traveler with the privilege of meeting many dignitaries over the years. He will be very sadly missed.

Beloved husband of 50 years to Eileen (Davidson) Emens of Hingham. Devoted father of Theresa Emens of Hingham, Denise Emens of Delray Beach, FL, Kathleen Emens-Smith and her husband Stephen of Millis, Nancy Emens Ruo and her husband Michael of Foxboro and Robert J. Emens and his wife Nicole of Los Altos, CA. Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Allie, Nina, Catherine, Robby, Michael Robert, Carolyn and Christopher.   

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital).  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Bob may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
