Welch, Robert F. “Bob” of Scituate formerly of Quincy, October 20, 2003. Beloved husband of Marie (Gilmartin) of Scituate. Cousin of Edna McKinney of Brockton, Marion Holland of Taunton, Ann Leonard of Sagamore and Floanne Sullivan of Lexington. Brother-in-law of Francis Gilmartin of Scituate. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, Scituate at 10 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Burial in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Scituate.Bob was a past Grand Knight of the Scituate Knight’s of Columbus and a former member of the North Quincy Knight’s of Columbus. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed both the Boston Bruins (season ticket holder) and the Boston Red Sox. He was known for his uncanny ability to remember facts and figures. In addition to working for Cedrone Luber Finery Sales he worked as a business manager at the South Shore YMCA for 4 years and also worked at the Chase Corporation in Randolph for 4 years. Bob was a 1954 graduate of Bentley College and a 1978 graduate of Quincy College. Donations in memory of Mr. Welch may be made to Foyer of Charity, 74 Hollett Street Scituate, MA 02066.
